ABOUT THE PROGRAM

I AM AN ATHLETE! At least that's what I keep telling myself. In high school and college, I was a member of the track team and my favorite race was the the 400 meters. Before the race began, I would stand over the running blocks and the starter would say, “On Your Mark, Get Set, Go!” Nowadays, you can hear the starter say, “Ready. Set. Go!” Either way, either saying, you know that it’s time to get started and keep moving until you cross the finish line. I’m going to use the metaphor of running track as I go through the four phases of writing a book. I will take you from the beginning until you cross the finish line and complete your manuscript.

The first phase of writing process is "READY." In this phase, you will get ready, get prepared to start the writing process. The second phase is "SET." In this phase, you will get poised and positioned for success in writing your book. The third phase is "WRITE." In this phase, you will write your story. The final phase is the "CROSS THE FINISH LINE." Once you've complete this phase, you will have a first draft of your manuscript. This is the first step to becoming a publish author.

READY. SET. WRITE!
